A LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Hello Neighbors,

Letters of notification for 2021 BHCA annual dues were mailed out by our management company Procom in January. If you did not receive one or mistakenly disregarded it please let us and we will have another one sent out to you. Procom and our lawyers are being more aggressive dealing with past due accounts so just want everyone to be aware of that. There are 53 households out of 604 (8%) that are past due. Half of them are over 2 years past due which is really frustrating.

Additionally, please be respectful of your neighbors and pick up after your dog/s. The board has received a letter from the Bay Hills apartments that is specifically asking us to respect their property.

“ Dear Mr. Eckels,

Unfortunately, it has come to our attention that homeowners from the Bay Hills Community are walking their dogs on the Bay Hills Apartment property and not picking up after their pets as witnessed by several of our personnel who live at this community
Anne Arundel County Animal Laws states:
Article 12, Title 4, Subtitle 9-909 Removal of Animal Excreta
The owner of any animal shall be responsible for the removal of any excreta deposited by his or her animal on public walks, recreation areas, or private property other than his own.
Violation of this Law is punishable by fine.
We take great pride in our community and our grounds and would appreciate cooperation by the Bay Hills Homeowners Association regarding this violation.
Along with this it has come to our attention that residents sledding on the golf course have left behind a lot of trash. The golf course is private property and we should not be on their property to begin with.”

Again please be respectful and remind your fellow residents if you have to.

We have food trucks scheduled to come into the community for the next couple of months. You can find the schedule on the Bay Hills Facebook page, Community website at bayhillsonline.com, in this email or at Bayhillsevents.com.

Lastly, we have 2 open spots on the BCHA Board. One of the slots would be for the Convents role. If you are interested in volunteering an hour a month please reach out to me.

Treasurers Report Ending January 31, 2021

The attached spreadsheet provides the account balances, income and expenditures for the month of January as well as year to date. We are currently at .08% (1 month out of 12) of the way through the year, so you can compare where we are in any category against that figure.

With regard to income, we finished 2020 very much on track, despite COVID-19. I am encouraged going into 2021, as we have already collected $2205 in payments that were in arrears. Most of them were only behind from last year. In addition, we have had a couple of others make contact about moving forward to get caught up. Some said they didn’t realize ProCom was our management company, and just tossed the envelope. ProCom has changed the return address to show Bay Hills Community Association C/O ProCom. This should eliminate any confusion. ProCom has been great to work with. Our rep, Fran McDonnell is very knowledgeable and very responsive. We also get much better and more useful data.

There are currently 53 households in arrears on 2020 dues. Of those 32 are also in arrears for multiple prior years dues and fees. The highest amount in arrears, over and above just the 2020 amount, is $1,045.00 and the lowest is $230.00. There are an additional 12 households that owe an amount less than $150, ranging from $120.00 to $10.00.

All total the amount outstanding for 2020 and all prior years is now $16,902.50.

Bayhillsevents.com is now an events page and forwards to facebook. Web page idea so people can just go to bayhillsevents.com and not have to do multiple clicks or other things to remember.

New Business

Bay Hills Apartments complaints about dogs

Jump Buch afternoon activity

In meeting discussion → Not picking up after dogs in the Bay Hills Apartments area. Will be in newsletter. Opening for board spot, Jump Buch is a company that puts on afternoon events for kids so moving to next meeting since still winter.
