A LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Hello neighbors,

I hope everyone had a Fantastic Holiday season. The BCHA Board meetings are back on schedule and will continue to meet the first Tuesday of each month unless otherwise notified. So the first meeting of 2020 will be this Tuesday at 7:30 pm and the Shore Acres House.

One big change this year will be the NEW management company we have selected to manage annual dues collection. PROCOM will be sending out invoices for 2020 dues of $150.

Another change will be the ability to pay your dues electronically. Please keep an eye out for the new logo when going through your mail.

Another thing to pay close attention to will be the police patrols that will start again on January 1st. They will be in the same places as before and moving around to other spots where we have received requests. If there areas they are missing please let me know and we will work with them to help. On that note they will still be looking for speeding and running of stop signs. In addition there will a be a particular focus on distracted driving.

If you are on your your phone either texting or on a call you will get a ticket. NO WARNINGS. With all the walkers, joggers and bike riders I think we are incredibly fortunate there has not been an incident. 

One other change in the new year will be the locking dock gates that will be installed on the basketball & tennis courts. We have already had someone painting graffiti on the new basketball courts. Once they are installed we will send out a message to register on the community web site to get the entrance code.

Minutes of Board Meeting- December 10, 2019

The December Board meeting was held on December 10, 2019 at the Shore Acres Clubhouse in Arnold. The meeting was called to order at 7:34 p.m. by President Dave Eckels. The following members attended: Amanda Rambo, Dave Eckels, Bob Ray, Oliver Perry and Steve Sheesley.              

Welcome & Approval of Meeting Minutes/Treasurer’s Report: 

·      November 2019 meeting minutes approved  

Social/Communications:

·      Chelsie Herr has stepped down from being the Social Chair. Position is open.

·      Discussed the Luminaries and making sure the Bluffs, Pine Valley, and St. Andrews are involved next year.

·      Discussed promoting next year’s Christmas party ASAP and getting it on the calendar.

·      Annie discussed using more word of mouth and the next event to promote signing up for Beacon updates and getting more emails.

·      Ad contracts were sent out for the 2020 Beacons.

Treasurer:

·      Bob Ray discussed ending the contract with Bay West for management and collecting any old information from them prior to final payment.

·      Budget approved.

·      Discussed new management starting on the 1st of 2020. Procom will be taking over as voted and approved by the board.  

Property & Grounds:

·      Basketball courts are being repainted to make the out of bounds safer.

·      Cameras are going in at the playground for vandalism.

·      New locks and gates will be going on the tennis and basketball courts. These will be controlled by a code that you can sign up for on the website and will go out by e-blast.    

Covenants:

·      Noise complaints can involve letters sent from the board, but if they persist the police need to be called.

New Business:

·      Updating the insurance policy.

·      Check going out to the Bluffs to split the cost of mulch.                          

Adjournment:   There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:22 p.m.                  .
